About the position

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join its Product and Partnerships Solutions Group. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between technical and business solutions teams, employing an analytic, innovative, and collaborative approach to deliver best-in-class services and forward-looking business solutions to top partners in the Television industry. The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for establishing and exemplifying best practices in partner integrations, acting as the key technical expert in the rollout of FreeWheel's partnership solutions, and providing guidance in partner usage to enhance FreeWheel's programmatic offerings. The Solutions Engineer will communicate technical requirements between partners, clients, and internal stakeholders, offering creative solutions to any problems that may arise. This position requires regular engagement with Sales, Partnerships, Account Management, and Product Management teams. The individual will act as a subject matter expert for various partnership areas, including demand partnerships (DSP/SSPs), supply partnerships (SSPs, Exchanges), and data partnerships, to build and maintain serviceable solutions. They will scope and validate new partner integrations, providing innovative solutions to meet the specific needs of FreeWheel clients' most demanding business requirements. In addition, the Solutions Engineer will serve as a liaison and advocate between Sales, Account Management, Product Solutions, Product Management, and Engineering, providing guidance and feedback on product usage, gaps, and needs. They will design and provide advanced training to internal teams and occasionally to clients and partners, ensuring that all stakeholders are well-informed and equipped to utilize FreeWheel's offerings effectively. The role also involves providing timely technical support and problem resolution for escalated questions from account teams, partnerships teams, and services teams, exercising independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for one or more FreeWheel's partnership areas including demand partnerships (DSP/SSPs), supply partnerships (SSPs, Exchanges), and data partnerships.
  • Scope and validate new partner integrations providing innovative solutions to meet the specific needs of Freewheel clients' newest and most demanding business requirements.
  • Act as liaison and advocate between Sales, Account Management, Product Solutions, Product Management, and Engineering for providing guidance and feedback on product usage, gaps, and needs.
  • Provide trusted expertise and feedback on internal projects to improve product usage and customer service.
  • Design and provide advanced trainings to internal teams, and occasionally to our clients and partners.
  • Provide timely, technical support and problem resolution for escalated questions from account team, partnerships team, and services team.
  • Exercise consistent independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years' experience in online advertising/internet marketing or video/television advertising technology in a client-facing capacity.
  • Strong technical skills and familiarity with scripted programming languages, SQL, TCP/IP communication, CURL, etc.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain product functionality, technical design, and limitations at the client's executive level as well as to developers or other client experts.
  • Demonstrate a track record of exemplary software implementation and systems integration skills.
  • Proven ability to drive large-scale projects with open collaboration, strong leadership, and careful attention to customer requirements.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the value of the FreeWheel product suite and the ability to work in conjunction with Project Management, Support Engineering, and Account Management groups to devise strategies for Enterprise level solutions.
  • Ability to evaluate customer requirements and lead in the determination of internal priorities.
