About the position

The Solutions Engineer Executive Advisor is responsible for establishing and leading the application architecture vision and strategy for a product or suite of products within the National Government Services (NGS) division. This role focuses on creating and maturing application solutions that maximize business value, ensuring the delivery of technology solutions, and contributing to the overall enterprise architecture vision.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of application technology solutions and data information planning efforts.
  • Participate in review and decision making for enterprise solutions.
  • Create architectural solutions that articulate and deliver on business needs.
  • Recommend modern technologies based on business value and drive new technologies towards implementation.
  • Contribute to the holistic vision of Enterprise Architecture.
  • Participate in creating a cloud strategy and manage the implementation process.
  • Define systems, technical and application architectures for new strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain an architectural blueprint and evolutionary roadmap.
  • Recommend software products, application integration opportunities, tooling, processes and practices improvements.
  • Create architectural solutions to enable effective, maintainable, and scalable business capabilities.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices, techniques, tooling, and testing to achieve solution performance KPIs.
  • Support and meet audit/compliance standards.
  • Implement and maintain regression, performance, and security portions of application testing.
  • Contribute to improvements in the financial efficiency of applications.
  • Support NGS use of various AWS tools and ensure unit tests meet requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage on-call support and own the system monitoring process.
  • Review and monitor initiatives for end-to-end impact and coordination.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 9 years' experience working on business and technical multi-platform applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • 9 years' experience in Application architecture and development across various tech stacks.
  • Experience in a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) environment.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and creating an integrated CI/CD pipeline.
  • Prior experience in partnering with business, product management, and product development teams.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, UrbanCode, GitHub, AWS tools, and various programming languages and frameworks.
  • Experience in on-prem and private/public cloud environments.
  • Experience with Agile and SAFe certification.
  • Familiarity with ARS, FISMA security requirements, and PHI/PII data security practices.
  • Healthcare experience.
