Responsibilities

  • Partner with the regional sales team to develop strategic and technical account and territory plans.
  • Demonstrate Splunk's products and solutions to customers, focusing on value-based differentiators.
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly in emails and reports.
  • Organize and analyze customer needs to eliminate sales obstacles using creative approaches.
  • Work in a dynamic technical organization with a growing customer base.

Requirements

  • 5+ years related experience in selling and supporting software products to IT organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to all levels of the business.
  • Strong technical fundamentals in IT or Security markets, including networking, systems administration, development, application management, and operations.
  • Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as C/C++, Shell, Perl, Python, etc.
  • Knowledge of Big Data technologies like Map-Reduce, Hadoop, HBase, Cloudera, and Cassandra is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or substantial relevant on-the-job experience.
