About the position

The Sales Engineer at Splunk serves as a technical member of the Customer Account Team, acting as a trusted advisor to both customers and Sales Representatives. This role focuses on connecting people and business through technology, particularly in cloud technology, data, and analytics. The Sales Engineer is responsible for understanding customer needs, providing technical solutions, and ensuring customer success through effective communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with a tenured Sales Engineer to learn about Splunk's products and sales process.
  • Shadow customer calls and engage in mock scenarios with your team.
  • Assist in presentation development, workshops, and technical concept proof events as the account team moves customers towards closing sales.
  • Hone presentation skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to customers and understand their needs.
  • Meet weekly with team members, manager, and mentors to discuss learning progress.
  • Discuss and promote Splunk products and services to customers.
  • Network with colleagues from various backgrounds to explore opportunities at Splunk.

Requirements
