About the position

The Sales Engineer at Splunk serves as a technical advisor within the Customer Account Team, focusing on connecting customers with the right technological solutions. This role combines communication skills with technical knowledge, allowing the Sales Engineer to engage with customers and translate their needs into actionable solutions. The position emphasizes collaboration with both the sales team and the customer's technical team to ensure customer success.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with a tenured Sales Engineer to learn about Splunk's products and sales process.
  • Shadow customer calls and engage in mock scenarios with your team.
  • Assist in presentation development, workshops, and technical concept proof events as the account team moves customers towards closing sales.
  • Hone presentation skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to customers and understand their needs.
  • Meet weekly with your team, manager, and mentors to discuss learning progress.
  • Promote and discuss Splunk products and services with customers.
  • Network with colleagues across the company to explore opportunities.

Requirements

  • Full-time work experience in any industry.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with customers.
  • Interest in technology, particularly cloud technology, data, and analytics.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and concepts.
