About the position

As a Solutions Engineer III at Capital Group, you will be part of the Client Experience Team (CXT), engaging with the entire content ecosystem to deliver competitive business advantages through technology innovation and superior execution. This role involves being an end-to-end solution owner, collaborating with business partners, leading design and implementation, and utilizing best-of-breed technologies to provide stable systems and services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of software solutions.
• Develop full stack applications with backend development using Java and Python, and frontend development using React/Typescript, HTML/CSS.
• Utilize AWS cloud services and infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform and Python.
• Ensure high-quality, responsive code through thoughtful software engineering practices.
• Engage in application design, including database and application code.
• Work with SQL databases, preferably Aurora Postgres.
• Stay updated with Generative models and Natural Language Processing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
• Experience as a full stack developer with backend development in Java and Python, and frontend development in React/Typescript, HTML/CSS.
• Experience with programming frameworks such as Spring and React.
• Familiarity with Git or Bitbucket repositories.
• Extensive experience with SQL databases, preferably Aurora Postgres.
• Experience in application design, including database and application code.
• Experience enabling AWS services using infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform and Python.
• Analytical abilities to understand and translate business objectives into requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of asset management and wealth management.
• Some experience with Generative models and Natural Language Processing.
