This is achieved through the creation and management of test-streams, mocking relevant services, and addressing any related impediments. Our mission is to support new platforms, accelerate the development of our in-house media player, and enhance playback quality throughout the Disney media ecosystem. We are currently seeking a Playback Solutions Engineer to help expand our capabilities in serving video and audio playback test scenarios effectively. We are looking for someone who is an opinionated optimist, always striving to leave the code in a better state than it was found. You will foster trust within the team, approach problems with empathy and respect, and embrace creativity in your work. As a partner in problem-solving, you will prioritize user needs and maintain a strong commitment to quality in all deliverables. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering test-streams and mock services to unblock partners and expose new media features, developing and maintaining an internal REST service written in TypeScript, designing systems and procedures to expand and scale our service, automating processes around deliverables, contributing to continuous development patterns, and utilizing Test Driven Development practices alongside functional paradigms.
