About the position

The Solutions Engineer (SE) for SLED at T-Mobile plays a crucial role in partnering with Government Sales to promote and sell T-Mobile for Business products and services. This position requires strong technical skills and industry knowledge to engage in pre-sales activities, consult on customer opportunities, and develop tailored solutions that address specific business challenges. The SE is responsible for designing and architecting solutions, providing technical support during sales presentations, and maintaining expert knowledge of relevant technologies in the Public Sector space.

Responsibilities

  • Provide RFP technical guidance and strategize with the sales team to improve sales performance.
  • Own customer technical relationships and understand their unique needs and drivers.
  • Design and architect services and solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Uncover opportunities and recommend appropriate solutions to customers.
  • Review and demonstrate product roadmaps to customers and the sales team.
  • Engage in Executive Briefing Center presentations as needed.
  • Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Government/SLED specific applications and concepts.
  • Design and support the implementation of Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and Return on Value (RoVs) to meet customer expectations.
  • Implement Go to Market strategies in collaboration with sales, product, and third-party vendors.
  • Assist with training and technical documentation for the Solution Engineering and Business Sales teams.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales Operations, and Care teams to support special projects and market-level opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree in a STEM area strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in telecommunications and pre-sales solution engineering with a successful track record in solution sales.
  • 3+ years of experience engineering/supporting secure cloud services, telematics, SASE, ZTNA, End-Point Protection, Hybrid and Multi-Cloud, and/or SD solutions and architectures.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting customers in the SLED space.
  • Public cloud and wireless/telecommunications networking certifications preferred.
