About the position

The Solution Engineer (SE) SLED at T-Mobile partners with Government Sales to sell T-Mobile for Business products and services. This role involves engaging in pre-sales activities, consulting on customer opportunities, and developing tailored solutions to meet business challenges. The SE is responsible for providing technical support during sales presentations, maintaining expert knowledge of relevant technologies, and collaborating closely with sales teams to drive sales and achieve financial targets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide RFP technical guidance and strategize with the sales team to improve sales performance.
  • Own customer technical relationships and understand their specific needs and drivers.
  • Design and architect services and solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Uncover opportunities and recommend solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Solution Engineering organization for Government/SLED applications.
  • Design and support the implementation of Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and Reviews of Value (RoVs).
  • Implement Go to Market strategies in collaboration with sales, product, and third-party vendors.
  • Assist with training and technical documentation for the Solution Engineering and Business Sales organizations.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales Ops, and Care teams to provide guidance and support for special projects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree in a STEM area preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in telecommunications and pre-sales solution engineering with a successful track record in solution sales.
  • 3+ years of experience engineering/supporting secure cloud services, telematics, SASE, ZTNA, End-Point Protection, Hybrid and Multi-Cloud solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting customers in the SLED space.
  • Public cloud and wireless/telecommunications networking certifications preferred.
