About the position

As a Solutions Engineer at Liberty Mutual, you will play a crucial role in the digital transformation of the insurance industry. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams to bring new rating programs to market.
  • Drive modernization across the application stack.
  • Supervise architecture migrations and maintain relationships with vendors and business partners.
  • Mentor and coach junior software engineers.
  • Develop technical requirements and design robust product and system architectures.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and find solutions that enhance efficiency and profitability.

Requirements

  • Ten years of related software engineering experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of agile environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of contemporary frameworks and emerging technologies.
  • Experience practicing DevOps and SecOps.
  • Strong background in business operations and strategies, particularly in the financial services industry.
  • Solid negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building skills.
  • Ability to identify patterns and problems across teams and deliver effective solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience developing or architecting cloud-hosted applications using C#/.NET.
  • High-level proficiency with client-side JavaScript frameworks, server-side frameworks, and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with event-based System of Engagement architectures and integration with API exposing microservices.
  • Understanding of DCI/MDM systems, data ingestion, and cloud-scale data sets.
