About the position

As a Solutions Engineer at Cisco, you will serve as a Trusted Advisor, developing technical relationships with customers and showcasing network product solutions. This role involves collaborating with Account Executives in a pre-sales capacity, leveraging your technical expertise to meet customer needs across various vertical markets. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain technical relationships with customers.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives in a pre-sales technical role.
  • Showcase network product solutions to customers.
  • Design and configure products to meet specific customer needs.
  • Utilize a broad palette of Cisco technologies and applications.
  • Communicate features and benefits of products effectively to customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of networking/telecommunications/datacenter industry experience.
  • Cisco product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings.
  • Pre-sales experience is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and listening skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • BS/BA in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • CCNP, CCDP or similar vendor certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Collaboration, Security, SDN, server and desktop virtualization.
