About the position

The Solutions Engineer role at Cisco focuses on developing technical relationships with customers in the US Commercial sector, particularly within the Mid-Market. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain technical relationships with customers.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives in a pre-sales technical role.
  • Showcase network product solutions to customers.
  • Design and configure products to meet specific customer needs.
  • Utilize industry knowledge to aid in technical selling and explain features and benefits of products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of networking/telecommunications/datacenter industry experience.
  • Pre-Sales experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and listening skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • BS/BA in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • CCNP, CCDP or similar vendor Certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Collaboration, Security, SDN, server and desktop virtualization.
