About the position

The Solutions Engineer position is a critical role within the Sales department, primarily focused on providing technical expertise and support throughout the product lifecycle. Solutions Engineers serve as the technical subject matter experts, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support from the initial product demonstration through to post-sales technical assistance. This role involves collaborating closely with the sales team to facilitate product demonstration calls, where the Solutions Engineer showcases the capabilities and benefits of the product to potential clients. In addition to supporting sales efforts, Solutions Engineers are responsible for managing the post-sales cycle, which includes providing technical support to clients during audit reviews. They play a vital role in analyzing current technologies utilized within the company, identifying potential gaps in processes, and proposing solutions to enhance customer experience. This involves documenting and monitoring the requirements necessary for implementing updates and improvements. The Solutions Engineer also assists other engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions, ensuring that these demonstrations effectively communicate the value of the product to both internal teams and clients. They are expected to account for potential project challenges and proactively seek to manage these challenges to ensure successful implementation of initiatives. Additionally, the role includes creating and deploying product training webinars and representing the company at conferences and trade shows as a brand ambassador and presenter.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales department in product demonstration calls.
  • Manage the post-sales cycle by providing technical support to clients through audit reviews.
  • Serve as a technical expert by providing detailed specifications for proposed solutions, including time and scope involved.
  • Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to team members.
  • Analyze current technologies used within the company to identify and mitigate potential gaps within processes and cycles.
  • Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates in relation to customer experience.
  • Work alongside sales teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives.
  • Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges.
  • Create and deploy product training webinars.
  • Attend conferences, trade shows, and knowledge sessions as a brand ambassador and presenter.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in IT solutions.
  • Experience within the cybersecurity industry is preferred.
  • Understanding of best practices regarding system security measures.
  • Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes.
  • Understanding of the sales cycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in German is a plus.
