About the position

The Solutions Engineer at bluemedia plays a crucial role in the Solutions Group team, collaborating closely with the Sales team to support project opportunities from concept development to execution. This position requires strong industry experience and technical knowledge to manage project expectations and deliver comprehensive build and install plans. The Solutions Engineer may also oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality outcomes for high-profile events such as the Super Bowl and Formula 1 races.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage client communication, persuading clients towards favorable conclusions using best practices and technical solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple teams including sales, estimating, project planning, graphic & mechanical design, and contracts to deliver project plans.
  • Review project solutions based on client needs and site surveys to determine manufacturing and installation requirements.
  • Lead project efforts until contract execution, producing schedules and timelines for all phases of the project.
  • Define and develop project deliverables relative to bluemedia offerings, scoping projects effectively.
  • Manage estimates and quotes from vendors, partners, and subcontractors.
  • Provide status reports of pre-contract projects to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various departments to deliver high-quality projects within timelines.
  • Conduct off-site tasks such as site surveys, installation oversight, and client walkthroughs.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn and master bluemedia project workflows and production operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to present solutions effectively.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and tackle challenges.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and illustrative communication skills.
  • Experience in managing opportunities on behalf of the sales team until contract execution.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for both internal and external customers.
  • Attention to detail and quality standards in project management.
  • Verifiable project management experience in the $5K - $2.5M+ range.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in construction project management or architectural signage.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Installation with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience in print and fabrication production and installation requirements.
  • 3-5 years of experience with Computer Aided Design (Rhino, AutoCAD, Illustrator, Sketchup).
  • Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office programs; experience with Smartsheet and ERP systems.
