Solutions Engineer

About the position

The position involves leading the design and pricing of customer RFPs, focusing on Air and Ocean freight services. The candidate will develop comprehensive transportation solutions, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of freight products, pricing mechanisms, and market trends. Responsibilities include optimizing clients' supply chains, delivering presentations, establishing performance measures, utilizing advanced analytics, supporting the sales process, and identifying process improvements. Additional duties may be assigned to support team and company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Leads the design and pricing of customer RFPs, incorporating standard tariffs, historical data, and client-specific requirements.
• Develops comprehensive transportation solutions for customer RFPs, emphasizing Air and Ocean freight services.
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of Air and Ocean freight products, including pricing mechanisms, market trends, and optimization techniques.
• Works to optimize clients' supply chains by analyzing and improving transportation routes, reducing costs, and enhancing service levels.
• Delivers compelling presentations to internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating complex solutions.
• Establishes baselines and implements performance measures to track and improve project outcomes.
• Utilizes advanced analytics to understand business needs, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and optimize supply chains.
• Actively supports the sales process, contributing to the development of value propositions and client proposals, with a focus on Air and Ocean freight.
• Identifies process gaps and recommends and implements improvements to enhance pricing strategies and overall efficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the team and company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required in engineering/business or supply chain or equivalent.
• MBA and/or Industrial Engineering favored.
• MUST COMPLETE PI ASSESSMENT IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.
