About the position

Join the Systems, Application and Products (SAP) HR and Payroll Systems Team at NBCUniversal to perform SAP Payroll Systems Management activities that support business requirements. This role involves improving or adding new functionality to the existing SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Human Capital Management (HCM) landscape as necessary. You will provide technical support for the SAP Payroll system by designing, configuring, and implementing functionality for SAP US Payroll processes. Collaboration with clients and business stakeholders is essential for requirement gathering and documentation, ensuring that the business needs are met effectively. In this position, you will develop design documents such as functional specifications related to SAP US Payroll. You will partner with technology teams to ensure that business requirements are developed, validated, and that system development goals are achieved. Working closely with developers, you will design RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms), perform unit and functional testing, and collaborate with business partners to reach consensus on testing outcomes. Additionally, you will project manage small to medium-sized projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget. Regular system maintenance tasks will also be part of your responsibilities, including the implementation of support packs, enhancement packs, BSI, and payroll year-end activities. You will analyze and provide solutions for SAP Payroll development activities in support of business requests to improve or add functionality to the existing SAP Payroll landscape. Troubleshooting and overseeing complex interfaces to downstream benefits systems will be crucial to your role, ensuring seamless operations and integration across systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform SAP Payroll Systems Management activities in support of business requirements.
  • Improve or add new functionality to the existing SAP ERP HCM landscape.
  • Provide technical support for the SAP Payroll system by designing, configuring, and implementing functionality for SAP US Payroll processes.
  • Collaborate with clients/business to perform requirement gathering and documentation.
  • Develop design documents such as functional specifications related to SAP US Payroll.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical/quantitative field.
  • 8 years of experience with SAP Payroll, specifically US Payroll including SAP US PY Taxation, Earnings and Deductions, BSI Tax Factory, W2, and Tax Reporter.
  • Strong understanding of various benefits and experience with integrations with benefits vendors such as 401K, Deferred Comp, H&W, and Union PHW.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP Payroll Schema/Rules/Custom PY Functions and Features.
  • In-depth experience of SAP Payroll based Interfaces and Reports.
  • In-depth knowledge of Payroll processes related to SAP US Payroll.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience leading engagements with business stakeholders and implementing technology solutions that drive business objectives forward.
  • Experience supporting two end-to-end implementations in SAP US Payroll.
  • In-depth understanding of HR Payroll Execution Process, Time Infotypes, Benefits Infotypes, and Finance tables integration with SAP Payroll.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Time Management modules/Core HR and Talent Management would be preferred.
  • ABAPHR - experience in development in the US Payroll Module.
