About the position

Join the Systems, Application and Products (SAP) HR and Payroll Systems Team to perform SAP Payroll Systems Management activities in support of business requirements, improving or adding new functionality to the existing SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Human Capital Management (HCM) landscape as necessary. This role involves providing technical support for the SAP Payroll system by designing, configuring, and implementing functionality for SAP US Payroll processes. You will collaborate with the client/business to perform requirement gathering and documentation, develop design docs such as functional specifications related to SAP US Payroll, and partner with technology teams to ensure business requirements are developed, validated, and system development goals are achieved. Additionally, you will work with developers to design RICEF's, perform unit and functional testing, and project manage small and medium size projects to ensure they are successfully delivered on time and on budget. Regular system maintenance tasks, such as the implementation of support packs, enhancement packs, BSI, and payroll year-end activities, will also be part of your responsibilities. You will analyze and solution SAP PY development activities in support of business requests to improve or add functionality to the existing SAP PY landscape and troubleshoot complex interfaces to downstream benefits systems.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support for the SAP Payroll system by designing, configuring, and implementing functionality for SAP US Payroll processes.
  • Collaborate with the client/business to perform requirement gathering and documentation.
  • Develop design docs such as functional specifications as it relates to SAP US Payroll.
  • Partner with technology teams to ensure business requirements are developed, validated and system development goals are achieved.
  • Work with developers to come up with design of RICEF's, perform unit and functional testing and work with business partners to get consensus on testing.
  • Project managing small and medium size projects to ensure they are successfully delivered on time and on budget.
  • Perform regular system maintenance tasks, such as the implementation of support packs, enhancement packs, BSI, and payroll year-end activities.
  • Analyze/solution SAP PY development activities in support of the business requests to improve or add functionality to the existing SAP PY landscape.
  • Troubleshoot and oversee complex interfaces to downstream benefits systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical/quantitative field
  • 8 years of experience with SAP Payroll, including US Payroll - SAP US PY Taxation, Earnings and Deductions, BSI Tax Factory, W2, Tax Reporter
  • Strong understanding of various benefits, benefits plans and experience with integrations with various benefits vendors, e.g. 401K, Deferred Comp, H&W, Union PHW
  • Excellent Knowledge of SAP Payroll Schema/Rules/Custom PY Functions and Features
  • In depth experience of SAP Payroll based Interfaces and Reports
  • In depth knowledge of Payroll/ Payroll related processes with regards to SAP US Payroll
  • Minimum 8 years of experience leading engagements with business stakeholders and implementing technology solutions that drive the business' objectives forward
  • Experience supporting two end to end implementations in SAP US Payroll
  • In depth understanding of HR Payroll Execution Process, Time Infotypes, Benefits Infotypes, and Finance tables integration with SAP PY
