About the position

The Solutions Sales Consultant is responsible for driving revenue growth and achieving departmental and divisional sales goals within the Managed IT solutions sector. This role involves market analysis, lead generation, partnership development, and managing the sales funnel to meet individual and team objectives. The consultant will also conduct sales presentations, maintain in-depth product knowledge, and support corporate initiatives while ensuring customer satisfaction and efficiency in sales processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement effective lead generation strategies to identify and engage prospective clients/customers.
  • Explore and establish strategic partnerships to enhance market presence and facilitate business growth.
  • Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand the business network.
  • Manage the sales funnel to achieve individual, divisional, and/or sales team goals.
  • Take lead on technical discovery and opportunity triage for the solutions team.
  • Discover, design, propose, and sell products and services within Marco's approved product portfolio.
  • Standardize documentation of technical discoveries and intakes from customers to better determine customer needs and efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of company products and services, Marco sales processes, markets, trends, competitors, and clients.
  • Conduct effective sales presentations and demonstrations of products and solutions offered by Marco.
  • Complete discovery calls with clients.
  • Promote cross-selling opportunities with other sales divisions and support personnel.
  • Manage the full CRM lifecycle from receiving cases to solution proposals and establishing KPIs for opportunities.
  • Attend project management calls to ensure products sold meet customer expectations.
  • Establish and work towards professional and personal development goals.
  • Improve and optimize processes and product offerings.
  • Develop divisional business plans to increase sales and market penetration.
  • Complete some transactional orders within existing accounts.
  • Work to complete sales and design for new, existing, and renewing opportunities.
  • Maintain awareness of manufacturer and vendor programs and offerings.
  • Participate in obtaining and retaining sales certification.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a sales/marketing program and three years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License, proof of personal insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external clients.
  • Self-starter with the ability to plan and implement territory solutions strategy with limited supervision.
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive, goal-driven environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of sales activity.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and operate with changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and professionally with all types of people and situations.
