About the position

The Senior Sales Manager for the Building Automation, Fire Alarm, and Security Construction Sales team at Siemens is responsible for managing sales operations in the Orlando, FL area. This role focuses on driving sales performance, fostering strong customer relationships, and leading a team to achieve business goals. The position involves coordinating sales activities, providing coaching and support to sales staff, and developing strategies to maximize market opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Promote team selling and expand existing relationships across divisions and geographic areas.
  • Coordinate engineering and sales support activities to facilitate quality product offerings.
  • Act as a resource to sales employees regarding products, applications, and services.
  • Drive sales employees to achieve commitment to Siemens Smart Infrastructure's philosophy and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate goals, provide coaching to develop skills, manage employee performance, and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Review bidding to ensure accuracy and appropriateness to meet company and customer objectives.
  • Assist employees in determining margins, identifying resources, and assessing future potential business.
  • Participate in selling to large/key accounts as needed and maintain ongoing contacts with these accounts.
  • Network with the Zone, Branch, and corporate headquarters to increase knowledge of offerings and encourage new ideas.
  • Develop sales forecasts and provide input to budget, identifying market opportunities and strategies for impact.
  • Participate in long-range sales planning and growth strategies, developing sales/marketing promotions for distribution channels.
  • Advise employees on effective sales tactics based on competitor product/service information.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or state-recognized GED.
  • 8+ years of sales experience including 2+ years managing sales teams in building automation, fire alarm, or security systems.
  • Demonstrated presentation, oral, and written communication skills for coaching and interfacing with customers.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
