About the position

As a Solutions Support Engineer at OSARO, you will play a crucial role in developing and supporting industrial robotic solutions. This position involves concept design, data collection, and sales support, requiring a blend of engineering skills and hands-on experience with robotic systems. You will work closely with the Sales and Solutions team to create and verify designs, conduct experiments, and ensure operational efficiency of robotic systems.

Responsibilities

• Concept-making engineering support using 2D and 3D CAD to design robotic systems.
• Verifying concepts through simulation software and procuring necessary hardware.
• Commissioning devices for concepts and generating required documentation.
• Setting up robot picking environments and conducting hardware tests.
• Writing software to connect OSARO's API with surrounding devices and testing the concept system.
• Operating robots to collect data from various sensors and preparing test plans based on requirements from the Sales and Solutions team.
• Running experiments and testing software on robotic hardware while tracking performance metrics.
• Running sales demos and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems to ensure operational equipment.
• Managing on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, tests, and diagnostics in the OSARO SF office.
• Recording videos of picking tests and writing feasibility study reports for customers.

Requirements

• Patience and diligence to solve problems.
• Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and environments.
• Hands-on experience working in a Linux/macOS command line environment.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• 2+ years of hands-on work experience in mechanical, electrical, or software systems.
• Ability to synthesize details in a written research report.

Nice-to-haves

• Python or Rust programming experience.
• Experience working with robots and robotic sensors including 3D cameras and grippers.
• Fluency in Korean or Japanese.
