About the position
Operates ultrasound equipment to produce images and physiologic data of internal organs and tissues for use by physicians in the diagnosis of disease. Provides service to patients throughout the life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
Responsibilities
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce images and physiologic data.
- Provide service to patients of all ages including newborns, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease through imaging.
Requirements
- Graduate of Approved Program of Ultrasound/Sonography, or equivalent.
- New graduate from an approved educational program, but prefer at least one year experience.
- ARDMS Registered, or if new graduate must be ARDMS eligible and pass a test in at least one area (i.e. Abdomen, OBGYN) including physics within one year of employment.
- Must be CPR certified.
