Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and/or NIV testing at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for performing diagnostic testing used in patient care assessment.
- Complete and maintain required unit-specific training and annual safety training.
Requirements
- Completion of a formal Sonography course or four years of progressively responsible experience in an ultrasound department within the last five years.
- Graduation from high school or its equivalent.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasonographers (RDMS) or RDCS or RVT in at least one field of specialization.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
