About the position

As a mobile ultrasound technologist at DispatchHealth Imaging, you will be responsible for traveling to various facilities to perform ultrasound examinations on patients of all ages. This role involves using a company vehicle equipped with sonography equipment to provide high-quality ultrasound services in diverse settings, including private residences and healthcare facilities. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and protocols while maintaining the equipment and vehicle used for your duties.

Responsibilities

  • Travel in a vehicle to perform high-quality ultrasound exams for patients in various service locations.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, protocols, and comply with applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Demonstrate competency in performing portable ultrasound studies based on established protocols.
  • Practice safe work habits, including safe driving and infection control.
  • Perform sonographic examinations as ordered by the physician.
  • Prepare preliminary technologist's worksheets and communicate them to reading radiologists.
  • Complete forms and maintain records, visit logs, and reports according to standard protocols.
  • Upload required documents into company systems as per protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of ultrasound equipment.
  • Take care of the vehicle and ensure it is stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
  • Orient new staff and train students if requested.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Sonography.
  • Credentialed in medical sonography by ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI.
  • Registered Diagnostic Sonographer (RDMS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs while carrying equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, holidays, and weekends.
