About the position

The Sorter 2 is responsible for inspecting, sorting, and preparing parts and materials for production. The Sorter 2 will work closely with the Quality and Production teams to ensure that all products meet company standards and customer specifications. Ideal candidates are reliable, efficient, and have a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect parts, materials, and products to identify defects, inconsistencies, or damages. Sort according to quality standards and specifications.
  • Ensure only quality-assured parts move forward in the production process; remove and document defective items.
  • Record quantities, types of sorted materials, and defects identified. Communicate any discrepancies or issues with the Quality team.
  • Assist in inventory organization by labeling, storing, and preparing parts for shipment or further processing as required.
  • Work with other team members to meet production and quality goals.
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.).
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on product quality.
  • Basic math and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and sorting processes.
  • Experience in manufacturing or quality control role.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter.
