About the position

The SOS Software Tester 1 position at the Tennessee Department of State involves assessing software products to ensure high quality and consistency. Responsibilities

• Execute software validation protocols.
• Assist product developers in replicating product failures.
• Verify fixes by executing targeted tests.
• Communicate effectively with peers and project teams through email and face-to-face interactions.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in business areas.
• Perform and document software test evaluations in compliance with test plan procedures.
• Manage time efficiently to complete work and associated paperwork by assigned completion dates.
• Review data for compliance with specifications and report abnormalities.
• Confirm completion of the required training plan before assuming job responsibilities.
• Take responsibility for self-development and actively seek feedback.

Requirements

• Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Six months of working experience in software testing and automated testing applications.
• Demonstrated ability to execute multiple priorities while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Strong logical thinking, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Skilled at promoting team cooperation and a commitment to team success.
• Working knowledge of SCRUM and Agile practices.
• Experience with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
