About the position

The Audio Media Technology (AMT) team at Apple is seeking passionate software engineers to develop the next generation of Sound Analysis machine listening software. This role involves working cross-functionally with experts in machine learning, system software, hardware, and design to create infrastructure and systems that enhance machine listening experiences across Apple's ecosystem. The position emphasizes high standards for user experience, quality, and performance, contributing to features that leverage advanced machine learning algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with machine learning experts, system software engineers, hardware engineers, and designers.
• Develop new features from conception to release, ensuring adherence to Apple's high standards for user experience, quality, and performance.
• Create infrastructure and systems that enable machine listening experiences across Apple's ecosystem.

Requirements

• Excellent software design/programming skills in Swift, Objective-C, and/or C/C++.
• A passion for understanding end-to-end systems, from the user experience down to the hardware.
• Experience with machine learning for speech or audio applications.
• Experience developing real-time audio processing software.
• Proactive and passionate about learning new technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• BS or MS in Computer Science or other related field or equivalent.
