About the position

The position involves supporting the planning and coordination of a program and its activities, working closely with the director to assess current needs and ensure effective implementation of policies and procedures. The role includes managing budgets, tracking expenditures, and overseeing communication strategies, including media relations and social media. Additionally, the position requires organizing meetings and events, supporting program growth and development, and coordinating volunteer efforts within the local community.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning and coordination of a program and its activities.
  • Work with the director to determine current needs for the program.
  • Ensure implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions.
  • Manage communication through media relations and social media.
  • Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda.
  • Support growth and program development.
  • Organize and oversee program activities and events.
  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers from the local community.
  • Coordinate and monitor teen summer camps.
  • Organize and conduct leaders clubs and other teen activities and events.
  • Secure facilities for program activities and events.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in program planning and coordination.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and track financial transactions.
  • Experience with media relations and social media management.
  • Ability to recruit and coordinate volunteers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with youth programs or camps.
  • Familiarity with community engagement strategies.
