About the position

The Sound Engineer at Harvest Church plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality audio experiences during worship services and events. This position is responsible for front of house sound mixing, monitor mixing, and live broadcast digital sound stream mixing. Additionally, the Sound Engineer will handle digital message recording, ensuring that all audio elements are captured and delivered with excellence. The role requires a keen ear for sound quality and the ability to make real-time adjustments to audio levels and effects to enhance the worship experience. The Sound Engineer will also be expected to collaborate with other team members to set up and test audio equipment before events, troubleshoot any issues that arise during services, and maintain all sound equipment in good working order. Other duties may be assigned as needed, reflecting the dynamic nature of the role within the church's ministry.

Responsibilities

• Mix front of house sound for worship services and events.
• Handle monitor mixing for performers and speakers.
• Manage live broadcast digital sound stream mixing.
• Record digital messages during services and events.
• Set up and test audio equipment prior to events.
• Troubleshoot audio issues during live events.
• Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of sound equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a sound engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of audio mixing techniques and equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a passion for quality sound.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with live broadcast audio mixing.
• Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs).
• Knowledge of sound reinforcement systems.
