About the position
The Sourcing Analyst will leverage analytical and critical thinking skills to address complex business challenges and provide effective analyses and recommendations to support corporate sourcing activities. This role involves collaboration with Category Managers to assist in RFP development, vendor negotiations, and contract execution across various indirect procurement categories, ultimately aiding in the cost-efficient sourcing of goods and services for Burlington Stores.
Responsibilities
- Apply analytical skills to solve complex business challenges and deliver effective analyses and recommendations.
- Support RFP development, vendor negotiations, and contract execution across all indirect procurement categories.
- Conduct supplier performance analysis and market research.
- Manage projects end to end, including requirements gathering, sourcing, savings analysis, and contracting.
- Maintain contact with suppliers through meetings and site visits as needed.
- Continuously analyze spend data to identify opportunities for savings in indirect spend categories.
- Assist in the resolution of payable issues, outstanding items, damaged goods, and incorrect shipments.
Requirements
- Four-year degree or five plus years of experience in a similar role required; degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Mathematics, or MIS preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Procurement, Financial Accounting, Supply Chain, or relevant analytical role in a fast-paced business environment.
- 1-3 years of experience using data systems such as MS Excel required; experience with MS Access, SAS, or equivalent statistical data analysis or business intelligence platforms is a plus; SQL, VBA, and/or applicable script writing experience is a plus.
- Experience with Procurement Process, Contract Management, Vendor Management, and Negotiations is a plus.
