About the position

The Sourcing and Federal Regulation Specialist for Construction Operations at GE Vernova will manage the procurement process for services related to US Government projects, ensuring compliance with federal regulations. This role involves interfacing with suppliers, conducting audits, and training the team on compliance and procurement processes, all while contributing to the company's mission of providing sustainable energy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the buying process for services driven by project requirements.
  • Apply sourcing policy and interface between suppliers and internal teams regarding specifications and budgets.
  • Procure medium to complex materials and services, focusing on US Government projects.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with US Government rules and regulations.
  • Train the C&C team on compliance and procurement processes.
  • Liaise with US Government Subject Matter Experts to communicate compliance criteria.
  • Support the implementation of tools related to US Government compliance.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers for purchase order execution and follow-up.
  • Support supplier evaluation and data management.
  • Recommend improvements to existing procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, finance, or a similar discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in procurement or supply chain role.
  • Thorough working knowledge of federal regulations (FAR/DFARS).
  • Experience with automated purchasing systems (Ariba, Oracle) and procure-to-pay processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous role in USG/federal contracts.
  • Experience procuring and managing construction service agreements for at least 3 years.
  • Knowledge of contract management and commercial aspects including EHS and HR policies.
  • Basic knowledge of EHS & execution quality.
