About the position

Lincoln Electric is seeking a proactive and experienced Supply Risk Management professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying potential risks in the supply chain, including supplier bankruptcy, natural disasters, geopolitical instability, and quality issues. This role requires a comprehensive assessment of the potential impact of each identified risk and the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures to mitigate or reduce these risks. The candidate will work closely with global Category Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure that all identified risks are effectively managed and that risk mitigation plans are in place. In this position, you will continuously monitor the supply chain for potential risks and take action to address them as needed. You will conduct regular risk assessments to identify emerging risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans. Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers is crucial to ensure open communication and collaboration. Additionally, you will lead a team of supply risk management professionals, providing guidance and support as necessary. The role also involves developing and implementing supply risk reporting to provide visibility into supply chain risks to key stakeholders. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to supply risk management is essential to the success of this position. As part of Lincoln Electric's commitment to its 2025 Strategy, the successful candidate may assume additional responsibilities as needed or directed. This is a full-time salaried position based in Euclid, Ohio, with a competitive pay range and target bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess supply chain risks, including supplier capacity, quality, financial, and geopolitical risks.
  • Develop and implement supply risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to mitigate or reduce the impact of identified risks.
  • Monitor compliance with supply risk management policies and procedures.
  • Work with global Category Managers and cross-functional teams to implement risk mitigation plans.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify emerging risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure open communication and collaboration.
  • Lead a team of supply risk management professionals and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement supply risk reporting to provide visibility into supply chain risks to key stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to supply risk management.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Supply Risk Management function (e.g. Supply Chain, Business Administration, etc.) including a minimum of 7+ years' experience.
  • ERP experience, SAP preferred.
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Solid knowledge of global supply chain risk management strategies, policies & procedures.
  • Team player with ability to listen & lead with influence, within a matrix organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Excellent project management skills including leading, prioritization, scheduling, written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with SAP & Microsoft Office.
