About the position

The Sourcing Specialist at Eurofins Scientific will support the NSC Procurement Department for North America-based companies. This role involves managing purchasing activities, collaborating with stakeholders, and executing category strategies to achieve cost savings and improve quality and delivery times. The position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to lead negotiations, and a self-motivated approach to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing-related activities for specific categories/projects in coordination with the Category Manager and Business.
• Obtain significant cost savings in assigned categories/projects while improving quality and reducing delivery time.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand laboratory business requirements and drive sourcing initiatives.
• Build a project pipeline and lead the sourcing process (RFI and RFQ) with technical experts, including supplier negotiations.
• Influence and lead change management to ensure sourcing practices and tools are adopted across the organization.
• Research market information and conduct cost and risk management assessments.
• Analyze procurement data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and prepare reports for management.
• Integrate organizational measures like supplier diversity and sustainability into the sourcing process.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers and manage supplier selection, RFP process, and performance processes.
• Create a knowledge base for assigned categories and market dynamics relevant to the business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or Sciences (or related field) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of Purchasing experience necessary.
• Experience working in Excel, including pivot tables and standard functions.
• Knowledge of legal and contractual issues and experience negotiating contracts.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Sourcing or Purchasing is desired.
• Experience with Coupa Source-to-Pay is an asset but not mandatory.
