About the position

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a candidate to provide strategic direction, outreach, workflow, and process management activities to assigned customer groups. This role involves principal management of the strategic supplier relationship management (SRM) program and the customer relationship management (CRM) program within Supply Chain Management. The successful candidate will coordinate complex decision-making processes, implementation, and service delivery for assigned customers, working closely with internal leadership and key business stakeholders to establish strategic goals that deliver value and process efficiencies. The position requires a strong understanding of end-to-end sourcing and contracting processes, as well as supply chain processes, to lead the development of annual strategic sourcing calendars. Candidates should possess considerable experience with SRM and CRM, along with strong analytical reasoning, critical thinking abilities, and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with decision makers throughout MD Anderson.

Responsibilities

  • Direct efforts between key customers and various Supply Chain Management teams, developing a multi-year work plan to align supply chain initiatives with customer goals.
  • Serve as the primary single point of contact (SPoC) for Supply Chain Management and key strategic suppliers, monitoring and managing supplier performance.
  • Provide industry insights and marketplace understanding to stakeholders and senior leadership for the assigned portfolio.
  • Lead stakeholder-facing implementation, project planning, and communications planning efforts for Supply Chain Management initiatives.
  • Guide key customer groups to ensure awareness of policies, procedures, compliance guidelines, and sourcing standards.
  • Participate in the management of contractual obligations and serve as an escalation point between MD Anderson customers and suppliers.
  • Act as a liaison between assigned staff and other Supply Chain Management departments, reconciling contract issues and participating in supplier business meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Finance, Operations or related field.
  • Five years of experience in supply chain sourcing, supplier relationship management/customer relationship management, or project management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare or public sector.
  • Sourcing, contracting, procurement experience.
  • Facilitation skills for leading large meetings with executive level attendees.
  • Creative self-starter with the ability to work with ambiguous processes.
  • Technical skills in MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Benefits

  • Remote work location (within Texas only).
  • Minimum salary of USD 103,000, midpoint salary of USD 129,000, and maximum salary of USD 155,000.
  • Exempt from overtime pay.
