About the position

Allagash Brewing Company is seeking a Southern California Territory Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team. This role is pivotal in driving sales and distribution across vibrant markets in Southern California, specifically covering Orange, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and experienced sales professional with a proven track record of success in increasing sales and managing programs that effectively drive sales. The position requires a positive attitude, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to meeting deadlines and sales goals. In this role, you will be responsible for calling on accounts, developing and managing programs and incentives, and educating wholesalers, retailers, and consumers about our products to maximize sales potential. A deep understanding of the Alcohol category is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of co-workers, customers, and wholesalers. The position demands expert organizational skills, including time management, as you will spend over 70% of your time in the field visiting accounts, working alongside wholesaler representatives, and hosting consumer activation events. This is a full-time salaried position with a competitive salary range of $68,500 to $80,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in our sales incentives program, potentially earning up to an additional $7,500 annually, along with annual company-wide profit sharing. Comprehensive onboarding will take place at our brewery in Portland, Maine, and you will be expected to make two trips to the brewery each year to collaborate with the sales team and immerse yourself in the Allagash culture.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and distribution in Southern California markets.
  • Call on accounts and develop/manage sales programs and incentives.
  • Educate wholesalers, retailers, and consumers about products.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and wholesalers.
  • Spend over 70% of time in the field visiting accounts and hosting events.
  • Complete work-withs with wholesaler representatives.
  • Participate in consumer activation events.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a brand support/sales role.
  • Experience working with or for a wholesaler is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Alcohol category.
  • Expert level organizational ability, including time management.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, including expert knowledge of Google Suite, KARMA CRM, and Concur expense system.
