About the position

The Southwest Region Marketing Manager at Garver plays a pivotal role in supporting transportation project pursuits in Texas. This position involves collaboration with marketing leadership and client-facing teams to develop and implement sales strategies, conduct market research, and enhance client relationships. The manager is responsible for leading proposal development, mentoring team members, and driving account-focused strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with marketing leadership and client-facing teams to develop sales strategies.
  • Conduct market and industry research and analysis.
  • Coordinate and lead regular client account meetings to optimize client share potential.
  • Research client organizations, procurement processes, and market trends.
  • Identify and document client's business objectives and risk profiles.
  • Facilitate client relationship mapping and analysis.
  • Engage in Tier 1 and Strategic pursuits, analyzing gaps and assembling reference materials.
  • Lead win plan development and capture planning efforts throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with leadership to assign marketing support staff based on project magnitude.
  • Lead proposal kickoff sessions and author key sections of proposals as necessary.
  • Provide strategic direction throughout proposal development and conduct compliance checks.
  • Lead interview preparations and internal debriefs on team success.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of extensive experience in pursuit development in the A/E/C industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, marketing, communications, business, journalism, or a closely related field.
  • Previous experience working with Texas-based clients, including the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong leadership skills to build trust and influence others.
  • Experience leading teams and developing professionals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
