About the position

The SOX IT Risk Professional at U.S. Bank is responsible for assessing internal controls and ensuring the effectiveness of the bank's control environment. This role involves working with various business lines to identify and mitigate financial reporting risks, conducting vendor evaluations, and providing consultative services regarding internal controls related to financial reporting and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal control assessments and evaluations across multiple business lines.
• Ensure processes and controls are designed and executed to mitigate financial reporting risks.
• Identify gaps in internal processes and propose solutions to minimize reporting errors.
• Complete third-party vendor evaluations and deficiency evaluations.
• Review and update internal control documentation.
• Provide consultative services to business lines regarding internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically more than six years of applicable experience.
• Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and IT General Controls.
• Control Testing experience.
• Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Archer eGRC.

Nice-to-haves

• Applicable professional certifications such as CISA, CPA, or CIA.
• Undergraduate degree with a major in Accounting, Business, Information Technology, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a complex environment.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
