About the position

The Special Education Teacher is responsible for developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for exceptional students. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, staff, and students, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Write and implement all components of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Utilize a variety of reading and math strategies to meet the needs of exceptional students.
• Schedule teaching, assessments, IEP meetings, and professional collaboration.
• Communicate effectively with parents and conduct structured IEP meetings.
• Analyze students' academic performance data to make informed decisions.
• Maintain regular attendance and interact positively with students.

Requirements

• Valid Special Education Certification license.
• Experience in teaching, particularly in special education.
