About the position

The Spa Aesthetician at Wind Creek Chicago Southland is responsible for providing professional facial and waxing services to clients, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction through exceptional service and adherence to spa protocols. This role requires a thorough understanding of skin care, excellent massage techniques, and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation. The Aesthetician will also engage in ongoing training and contribute to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Receives guests for their services on time and in a courteous manner.
• Provides consistent professional facial and waxing treatments according to spa protocols.
• Properly opens and closes each shift according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintains sanitation and sterilization standards as directed by law and spa policies.
• Provides accurate descriptions of spa treatments and actively promotes services and promotions.
• Maintains knowledge of the company's property and special events to advise guests.
• Responds to guest requests and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Works independently and remains at assigned post for extended periods.
• Cleans and restocks treatment rooms as required.
• Attends and participates in training and staff meetings for the Spa.
• Assists in all areas of the spa operation as needed.
• Ensures confidentiality of guest information and communicates necessary occurrences to management.
• Arrives on time for scheduled shifts and performs services within the allotted time.
• Maintains a positive attitude and contributes to a quality work environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled in a GED program.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
• Currently hold and maintain a Cosmetology License from the state of Illinois.
• Previous spa or salon experience required.
• Must have CPR certification.
• Capable of basic arithmetic operations in all units of measure.
• Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition.
• Demonstrate hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Aptitude to maintain an on-time schedule of appointments.
• Must have enthusiasm and excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to lift, pull, push, and/or carry items weighing over fifty (50) pounds.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment.
• Willing to work odd hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have an Occupational License or the ability to obtain one.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with advanced skin care treatments.
• Knowledge of retail sales in a spa environment.
• Ability to perform additional spa services such as body treatments.
