About the position

The Spa Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Stay The Spa, ensuring that the spa upholds its mission and provides high-quality service to clients. This role involves managing staff, developing budgets, and implementing marketing strategies to attract and retain clients. The Spa Director also ensures compliance with health and safety regulations and addresses client needs to maintain satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the spa, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Hire, train, and manage spa staff, including therapists, receptionists, and maintenance workers, to ensure high-quality service.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing client needs and promptly resolving any issues.
  • Develop and manage the spa's budget, including setting financial goals, monitoring expenditures, and implementing plans to increase profitability.
  • Create and execute marketing and promotional strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
  • Manage the spa supplies, products, and equipment inventory, maintain adequate stock levels, and order new supplies as necessary.
  • Regularly evaluate service quality and client satisfaction and make necessary adjustments.
  • Develop long-term goals and business strategies for the spa, identify growth and expansion opportunities, and incorporate industry trends and innovations.
  • Ensure the spa complies with all health regulations and safety standards, including cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Create efficient work schedules for staff and ensure enough staff members are available to meet customer demand.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in spa management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the spa industry.
  • Experience in marketing and promotional strategies.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $45,000 - $50,000 per year plus bonuses.
  • Direct hire position with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Opportunity for extra hours during special events.
