About the position

The Spa Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the spa, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction while meeting profitability goals. This role involves leadership, staff management, and maintaining high standards of service and operations within the spa environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities and duties of spa employees.
• Provide leadership to meet profitability goals and enhance guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate employee relations, training, and staff productivity.
• Ensure compliance with company and department standards.
• Assist with guest experience, including check-ins and reservations.
• Create staff schedules based on business volumes and events.
• Monitor strategies to increase revenue and guest satisfaction.
• Act as a liaison between employees and spa director to resolve conflicts.
• Conduct employee appraisals and evaluations.
• Facilitate training modules for spa services and programs.
• Communicate company policies and updates to employees.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest and employee information.
• Develop relationships with vendors and organizations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
• Two years of full-service spa supervisory experience required.
• Three years of experience in a full-service spa/salon required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a typing speed of 25 words per minute.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with progressive supervisory experience.
• Occupational License or ability to obtain one as per Illinois Gaming Act.

Nice-to-haves

• License or training in massage therapy, aesthetics, or cosmetology.
• Experience with spa software and email programs.
