About the position

The Space Acquisition Systems Engineer at Sciolex Corporation plays a crucial role in providing systems engineering and technical advisory services to the Government Intelligence Community. This position focuses on the development of next-generation space and ground systems, ensuring effective programmatic oversight and acquisition support for new space protection capabilities. The engineer will collaborate with a team of subject matter experts to guide acquisitions, monitor contract execution, and drive integration and DevSecOps implementation for government customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems engineering and technical advisory services to Government Intelligence Community customers.
  • Serve as the System Program Office (SPO) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for programmatic oversight and acquisition support.
  • Collaborate with mission-related SMEs to plan, develop, and execute new acquisitions and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
  • Guide programs through Milestone Decision Authority (MDA) directed reviews and provide technical analysis for contract execution monitoring.
  • Support the development of pre and post-award documentation including RFIs, RFPs, SOWs, and Source Selection Plans.
  • Evaluate Developer responses to RFPs and ECPs and complete assessment documentation.
  • Monitor and report on Developer's performance in executing software development contracts.
  • Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) documentation for compliance and execution progress.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years' experience OR master's degree and seven (7) years of experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Experience in DoD or IC acquisition, procurement, and/or contracting processes and policies.
  • Experience in system acquisitions over $50M.
  • Familiarity managing technical, cost, and schedule performance of software development programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • SAFe (or similar) certification.
  • Experience or familiarity with NRO acquisitions.
  • Experience in Space Domain Awareness or Space Protection.
  • Experience in Major System Acquisitions (MSAs) over $500M.
  • Experience working in Agile, SAFe, and/or Scrum software development frameworks.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
