About the position

As a Senior Member of our technical staff, you'll apply advanced principles of engineering and management to solve complex problems in the development of technology in this role you are the Sr. Network Architect. As a leader, you'll oversee and manage design and development processes as they relate to the engineering of products utilizing principles and technology of physics, mathematics, engineering, and related physical sciences. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage design and development processes related to engineering products.
  • Apply advanced principles of engineering and management to solve complex problems.
  • Communicate technical topics effectively to a diverse audience.
  • Develop and evaluate systems, networks, and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications.
  • Perform requirements analysis, requirements definition, and functional analysis.
  • Conduct technical planning, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for subsystems.
  • Participate in Modeling and Simulation.
  • Research and analyze data to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Support the generation of technical engineering products using appropriate standards and processes.
  • Provide leadership and/or direction to lower level employees.
  • Plan and execute project tasks for various activities.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses.
  • Coordinate external interfaces and ICDs.
  • Manage complexity of scope and out of scope items.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 15+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 13 years of job-related experience.
  • Top Secret/SCI security clearance preferred at time of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Recognized as an expert in the field.
  • Ability to anticipate technology, process, and skill needs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Cisco Router/Switching, VMWare, Redhat/Rocky Linux.
  • CCNA level knowledge with deployment experience.
  • Firewall knowledge and understanding of IP protocols.
  • Juniper OS experience.
  • NETCONF/YANG experience.
  • KG-175 TACLANE experience.
  • Knowledge of satellite communications and ground operations.
