The Space Planning Analyst II - Research position at Texas Tech University involves collecting, verifying, and analyzing detailed facilities information to support space planning projects. The analyst will define, analyze, and report on analytics for various research projects while also providing support for the Facilities Inventory. In this role, the analyst will collect, analyze, interpret, evaluate, and input data related to the Research facilities inventory. This process is essential to assess the accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting and procedural standards. The position requires strong numerical and analytical skills to evaluate data in real-time effectively. Critical thinking and attention to detail are paramount, as the analyst must make independent judgments and decisions based on established guidelines and prior job experience. The analyst will communicate with other departments to prepare for existing site surveys, new construction surveys, and space use surveys, ensuring the verification of coding, measurements, and physical building information. Additionally, the analyst will maintain plans of current projects and a catalog of past projects for easy access and future planning. The role also involves assembling data to complete architectural designs using Computer-Aided Drafting (AutoCAD) and Map 3D software, as well as maintaining a GIS and GPS database online.
