About the position

MTSI is seeking a Senior Program Management and Acquisition Support (PM&AS) professional to oversee the development of classified space programs through all acquisition phases. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in developing, designing, building, and integrating DoD or IC systems, and will be responsible for leading high-visibility programs in a fast-paced environment. This role requires effective communication of complex results to management and executive leadership, ensuring successful program delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to the Space RCO at Kirtland AFB, NM.
  • Serve as program advisory lead for high-visibility and time-critical programs.
  • Support government program managers through all phases of acquisition including requirements development, design, integration, and delivery.
  • Assist in acquisition planning, market research, and drafting technical requirements.
  • Support acquisition strategy development and documentation for systems acquisition.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to verify program needs and goals.
  • Assess technical sufficiency, cost, quality, and timely delivery of program deliverables.
  • Draft, review, and edit final program reports and documents.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with technical accuracy, often briefing senior leadership.
  • Develop Monthly Status Reports on all efforts, including updates on activities and performance.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years of proven acquisition experience in DoD and/or IC system development and transition.
  • Knowledge of space systems development, integration, test, and manufacturing.
  • Experience in DoD program management including program development and transition.
  • Experience with requirements management and project planning.
  • Experience with Integrated Master Schedules and risk management.
  • Understanding of space operational environments and mission user needs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fifteen (15) plus years of proven program management experience in DoD and/or IC system development.
  • Experience in supporting ACAT I/II level acquisition programs.
  • DAWIA Level III Program Management certification.
  • Experience in the development and fielding of satellites and associated ground systems.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and transition to production.
  • Experience in planning and executing test campaigns for ground and space systems.
