General Atomics (GA) is seeking a Space Systems Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. This role is pivotal in ensuring the security and compliance of our Space Systems solutions, which include modular and scalable satellite platforms designed for various mission requirements. As a member of the GA-EMS Space Systems team, you will collaborate closely with the lead Space Systems Cyber Security Engineer to execute program plans aimed at achieving and maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) for our systems. In this position, you will facilitate the execution of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process in accordance with NIST and ISO standards. You will tailor program security controls specifically for Space Vehicles and Ground Segments, deriving requirements that align with our operational goals. Your partnership with design teams will be crucial in ensuring that compliant design solutions are effectively implemented. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing the necessary cyber security artifacts to demonstrate compliance with established requirements and to achieve ATO. Your role will also involve supporting the development and execution of tests required for accreditation, ensuring that continuous monitoring requirements are met. You will perform thorough security assessments and vulnerability scanning, presenting cyber security design solutions to both internal and customer audiences during working group meetings and design reviews.
