About the position

The Space Systems Engineering Operations Technician role at MKS2 Technologies involves supporting a premier program in either Aurora, CO or Richardson, TX. This position is crucial for assisting the program team with various operational activities, including metrics management, onboarding new staff, and facilitating meetings. The technician will play a key role in ensuring effective communication and support for satellite operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with program leadership to facilitate meetings and ensure effective communication.
  • Assist engineering leads in the onboarding and integration of new staff members.
  • Support program activities and contribute to team success.
  • Support Satellite daily operations.
  • Attend meetings and other functions as requested.
  • Compile and/or assist in preparation of various documents, including presentations, reports, correspondence, and other materials.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2 year post high school or Military and/or Intelligence Agency training) and a minimum of 6 years of relative experience.
  • Active and transferable Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience working on Defense or Intelligence Agency Satellite technologies and/or ground control systems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite Tools, including Outlook, OneNote, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and/or Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with senior leadership on large teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, preferably to present information to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Prior experience training team members.

Benefits

  • Contract length: 1 year with potential for full-time conversion.
  • Pay range: $80,000 - $100,000 with benefits.
