BAE Systems is seeking a Hardware Engineering Section Manager for our Space Systems Product Line within the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Business area, primarily focused on programs based in Manassas, Virginia. This role is pivotal in leading a department of electrical, mechanical, and radiation engineers who support various Space programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the capture, planning, and execution of C4ISR hardware programs, ensuring technical oversight, staff planning, performance monitoring, and metrics reporting. This position requires a strong leader who can effectively manage a diverse team and drive technical performance while understanding the relevant product technologies of the business area programs. As a first line supervisor, you will work closely with engineering product leads and be involved in program proposal development relevant to product roadmaps. You will also participate in the hiring process and be responsible for developing, mentoring, counseling, and evaluating the performance of your subordinates. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of the Hardware Engineering Process, acting as the HW process application expert relevant to your specialty, and ensuring the appropriate instantiation of processes for the programs under your purview.
