About The Position

The Account Executive at Govplace is responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives within key Federal Civilian agencies. This role involves targeting both new and existing accounts, managing customer relationships, and delivering measurable results in a competitive environment. The position emphasizes a strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain relationships with OEMs and key customers to provide innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-4+ years successful outside sales/lead generation management of technical products or services
  • Experience selling to cabinet level Civilian agencies with relevant contacts
  • Proven ability in managing complex sales cycles with successful revenue attainment
  • Consistent over-quota performance and top tier company ranking
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and financial management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, multi-task, and prioritize
  • Understanding of IT technology and service solutions
  • Strong C-level communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written business communication.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of addressable business through direct customer interaction and vendor relationship development.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Govplace's core offerings and map them to account needs to generate pipeline.
  • Uncover business issues within government agencies and lead efforts to provide solutions with key decision makers.
  • Engage proactively with customers utilizing internal resources including pre-sales engineers and key partners.
  • Provide briefings on target account goals and high priority projects to management.
  • Work closely with inside support resources to ensure accurate data in CRM.
  • Manage multiple concurrent sales cycles effectively and negotiate complex deals.
  • Nurture long-term relationships with clients and strategic partners.
  • Apply creative thinking and problem solving.
