About the position

The Adoptions and Post Permanency Services Section Manager is responsible for overseeing the State's Adoption and Post Permanency program operations, including the Public Adoptions program and related services. This role involves direct supervision of staff, program planning, policy development, and fiscal management to ensure effective service delivery to children and families in Wisconsin. The position emphasizes collaboration with federal programs and adherence to relevant regulations, contributing to the strategic goals of the Division of Safety & Permanence.

Responsibilities

• Manage the State's Adoption and Post Permanency program operations.
• Supervise an Adoption Services Supervisor, social service specialists, and program/policy analysts.
• Oversee statewide program planning and policy development.
• Administer Adoption Assistance and Medicaid for adopted youth.
• Coordinate adoptive parent training and fiscal responsibilities related to foster care and adoption.
• Manage contracts related to public adoptions and post permanency support services.
• Ensure compliance with federal programs and administrative rules.

Requirements

• Experience supervising and evaluating the work of professional staff.
• Experience administering programs within or adjacent to the child welfare system.
• Experience with administrative and fiscal responsibilities in a program setting.
