About the position

The Affordable Housing Assistant Community Director plays a crucial role in supporting the Community Director in managing the daily operations of a multifamily property. This position is responsible for ensuring that the property meets operational and financial goals while supervising on-site staff and maintaining positive relations with residents and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Director with day-to-day property operations.
  • Supervise on-site staff including leasing and maintenance teams.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents, vendors, and clients.
  • Manage occupancy levels and implement marketing strategies to attract residents.
  • Assist in revenue management and timely rent collections.
  • Maintain resident files and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Monitor facility maintenance and address resident needs promptly.
  • Enforce community rules and regulations fairly and consistently.

Requirements

  • Experience in affordable housing programs such as LIHTC and HUD programs.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory role in Residential Property Management.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office and property management software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Google Apps and RealPage software.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
